The Simone Dress sample sat half finished, in the corner of my "factory" for two weeks. Why? Because i had an image in my head of what it should have been like and it just wasn't living up to the dream!
I get incredibly frustrated when this happens, largely because i get a huge adrenaline rush when I'm sewing something new and it's a long way to come crashing down when you try it on, hate it, and do a big "HRUMPH!" (insert stompy, grumpy Catherine). And so the reject gets tucked away in a corner until the excitement level comes back up again.

For the Simone Dress, that was 9pm last night. The changes needed were so awfully minor, it's more than a tad silly that it took me two weeks to rectify, but finally it resembles the picture in my head.
Time to smile, have a little proud moment and tackle the remaining garments in the "Too Hard Basket".
What's hiding away in yours?
